I have been a fan of baseball for just under 30 years, and have found myself increasingly disgusted with the performance-enhancing drug scandals that have rocked this great sport in recent years. I believe it is critical for fans to make their voices heard, to express their displeasure, to call it as they see it, and to demand a fair playing field with real competition between men - not juiced up cartoon characters. Fortunately, the tide is appearing to turn, with the White Sox winning the World Series on pitching and defense, although they certainly hit some home runs along the way. It is time for baseball to return to the fundamentals, which it appears to be doing. That is a good thing.
